to get an abortion if they took every precaution not to get pregnant such as using birth control pills and using condoms, knowing that the named techniques are not 100 percent effective and there is a chance you may become pregnant anyway?

mrb,
Can you show me a website that has actual statistics of crime dropping because even with abortion, there are many cities that still have high incidences of crime, so with all due respect, I don't think that is a valid point.

It is legal in most countries to have an abortion, so yeah - if that particular woman feels she does not have any other methods of dealing with her unplanned pregnancy, there should be nothing stopping her from having an abortion.

I personally am not a fan of abortion, and never have been. I fell pregnant with my little girl when I was 19 - and even though it wasnt the best decision I ever made, she now brings a ray of joy into my life!

Before the final decision to have an abortion is made, please also consider the following options:

1) Adopting your baby out after birth. 50 new families are wanting to adopt every year, but only 10 babies are legally put up for adoption. To me personally, this sounds like a much better idea - give your baby the best chance in life, and let her have loving parents that will enjoy her every moment. You may also have the opportunity to have an 'open adoption' - which means that you can even see your child on a regular basis, if that is your wish.

2) Keeping the baby. It may be hard - especially if you dont have any family or friend supports - and, at the end of the day, no one wants to be a single mum (if your partner isnt willing to help you raise your child). But, I can promise you, even if it seems horribly hard at the start - one day you'll wake up and thank the heavens for giving you the most precious gift this world has to offer. Also, in today's world - there are so many community and government supports in place (such as child care benefits and parenting payments), to help parents who struggle financially to look after their dependants.

3) Do you maybe have friends or family that could raise your little one for you during the week while you work, so that you only have parenting duties on the weekend?

It is a personal and moral question that only the one in the situation can answer. But from my POV, abortion is murder. I respect certain health situations where the mother's life is in danger- I was such a case, for some reason there is a large portion of miscarriages in my family's history with a risk to the mother; but my mother and I are still here. I support adoption, pregnancy is a consequence of sexual activity (not just STDs) and the lesson must be learned one way or the other. The process for adoption can be started while pregnant to find a couple that both sires are comfortable with.

Everyone talks about using protection, but why don't we discuss the important role of knowing a woman's menstrual cycles in order to abstain during the high risk time? Despite ages, if one is mature enough for sexual activity then this subject should not be difficult to discuss. It is the responcability of both males and females.

Okay I know that I'm going to get a record number of thumbs downs for this answer...but here it goes...

Abortion is legal, no matter how many people disagree with it, so it's the woman's right to choose to have one. It's a proven fact that since abortion has been legalized, crime rates have dropped dramatically, so I'm not going to be all Pro-Life--Save all the babies! I'd rather let the woman choose to have an abortion than for her child to grow up in a broken home with a horrible life, and then become a teenage delinquent who will probably end up taking a gun to school and shooting someone elses child...Although I wouldn't have an abortion, that's my choice, but let the woman make her own decision and not worry about what everyone else is saying. She is the one that has to live with her choice...none of these Pro-Lifers will ever even know...

The chances of that happening with correct use are 3 in 10,000

condom-.95
pill with perfect use- .01
spermicide .60

is .0003 or 3 in 10000 over one year of continous sex and perfect use, these are astronomical odds, but abstinence is the only foolproof method of contraception. She should have thought of the consequences before she had sex. The child shouldn't have to pay. If people were better informed about abortion, it would be more heavily regulated or made illegal. It isn't a blob of cells, it forms into a human very quickly. The heart is beating a couple of days after a missed period. How is stopping a beating heart not murder?

I think that if having a child is not an option due to age, personal situations, or other influences than abortions are tolerable. Other than that, abortion isn't be the right choice.

Personally, I think that since a baby is not a citizen and does not have rights until it is born then it should be ok for women to get an abortion because it's not murder. It all depends on the woman and her feelings involved. In this situations, the persons not using an abortion as the backdrop, the persons used other forms of protection and in this situation the person still got pregnant. Personally, I think it would be ok to get an abortion in this situation.

I think the decision for abortion is in the hands of the pregnant woman and that decision is hers and hers alone to make. It's no one elses business.

There is no correlation between having and abortion and high crime rates.

No, even under those circumstances, abortion is still murder. If she is unable to care for the baby, she should still have it and consider giving it up for adoption. Don't just end the baby's life because it's birth is an inconvenience.

It has to do with an entitlement attitude in our society. If a guy the position to diminish off a women individuals's clitoris it would want to be a sexual attack. If a women individuals the position to castrate a guy it would want to be a "actual attack". One includes the sentence of 10+ at the same time as the different is two-5 if that(maximum women those who've "bodily assaulted" a guy in this style of way get probation many of the time). Feminist's are promptly responsible for drafting regulation's and classes that deliberately search for to discriminate adversarial to adult adult males. They designed the classes that "tutor" police officials that in basic terms women individuals might want to be victims of relatives abuse. They propose for and push regulation's via that actively discriminate adversarial to adult adult males. They foyer, propose(and now because the have direct administration of congress and the govt branch) and blatantly ignore concerning the regulation. Any abuse guard or inner most employer that receives federal money won't be able to discriminate on the concept of gender, race or creed. yet there are 1000's upon 1000's of such agencies contained in the united states that mechanically deny adult adult males help or provide a "lesser provider". the challenge is feminism, they pass out of there thanks to discriminate adversarial to adult adult males.. And we are meant to sit down back and enable them do it? No ty! Abuse is abuse. yet regrettably ask any district lawyer and they'll say(like the lawyer wide-spread of Washington): "your more suitable ideal off no longer calling the police officers till your bleeding to death with a gun/knife for your head or perhaps then you would get arrested".
