it's all about getting people to spend as much money as possible. They start putting out the decorations and advertisement to make us feel like we are behind on the holiday shopping - people go and spend a whole bunch of money. All the holidays are bleeding into each other - there is no off time.
I totally agree with you - Halloween Rocks!!!

I hate that they are doing that now! They used to put the Christmas stuff out after Thanksgiving..
They started doing this because after 9/11 people started buying less stuff for the holidays, since the economy dropped. So now stores are pushing each holiday in earlier so they can get better profits.

Yeah- I love pumpkin stuff- I couldn't believe that they had taken out so much Fall/ Halloween stuff just to put out Christmas stuff. There should be a law that it can't go out until December 1!

It used to be that Christmas stuff didn't appear full force until Thanksgiving. It gets earlier and earlier every year! Maybe next year Santa can appear at our Labor Day parade.

I hear you. Man, what happened to Thanksgiving, after Halloween, as they jump right into Christmas. Unbelievable.

Yes, I really enjoy Halloween. I collect pumpkins and scarecrows. My little brother was my first pumpkin. He came home from the hospital in an orange blanket and he was really dark complected and my Mom says to me here is your little brother and I said no, that is a pumpkin and the name stuck. He is still called Pumpkin by some people. I call him my favorite pumpkin and I have a picture of him in my pumpkin collection.

Why was there Halloween stuff out in August?
Halloween is good. My husband will take me out for steak so we don't have to put up with the greedy goblins. Why spend $$ on them when we can have a good meal ourselves?

i know, you see like cliche movies about people wishing that holidays were everyday like christmas in july and stuff and it turns out horrible but if halloween were everyday it would be freaking amazing. christmas is fun getting presents, but who goes all out to decorate like in halloween?
