I'm just curious because I've talked to some really good psychics but I've talked to some phonies too.

Go to youtube and search under "sylvia browne" and "Montel" and you will see some major screw-ups that have been swept under the rug there.

She told a family whose boy was missing for years that he was dead and where to search for the remains (police spent beaucoup dollars searching there) and recently the police found him alive with a pedophile who kidnapped him a few miles away in MO.

She told another family whose daughter was missing that the girl was sold into white slavery overseas somewhere in the East (Japan or China) and the girl's parents were alarmed and upset. Then the police found the girl's remains in TX and she had been killed shortly after being kidnapped years before.

She told a woman whose fiance died in 911 that he was "underwater like that girl missing in the carribbean"...then when they said 911...she said well they had fire hoses pumping in water didn't they? Right....

Watch some of those videos and you will be skeptical of this stuff.

All someone has to do is simple prove what they claim.

James Randi, who has tested many people who think they have psychic abilities, has found that when he has tested the alleged paranormal powers of psychics (1) they had never before tested their powers under controlled conditions, and (2) those who don't offer preposterous rationalizations for their inability to perform seem genuinely baffled at their failure. Often, psychics are not frauds; they genuinely believe in their powers. But they've never tested their powers in any meaningful way. Randi offers $1,000,000 to anyone who can demonstrate psychic powers.

It has also been argued that if psychic power existed, to use it would be "a gross and unethical violation of privacy" and "professions that involve deception would be worthless". There wouldn't be any need for undercover work or spies. Every child molester would be identified immediately. No double agent could ever get away with it. Psychics would be in demand for high paying jobs in banks, businesses and government. Most psychics would be very, very rich and since psychics are such altruistic persons, giving up their time to help others talk to the deceased or figure out what to do with their lives, they would be winning lotteries right and left and giving part of their winnings to help the needy. We wouldn't need trials of accused persons: psychics could tell us who is guilty and who is not. The polygraph would be a thing of the past. Of course, the operative word here is if. If psychic power existed the world would be very different.

It seems clear that psychics can be explained in one of three ways: (1) they truly are psychic; (2) they are frauds, taking advantage of people's gullibility and weaknesses; or (3) they're deluded and self-deceived. Of the three options, the least probable is option number one. "Psychics" who are honest about their deception call themselves mentalists and call their art magic or conjuring. Yet, it is the "psychics," not the mentalists, who are the darlings of the mass media. Thus, when the mass media promote "psychics" for their entertainment or news value, they are either promoting fraud or encouraging delusions. Perhaps the media think that because most parties in the psychic game are consenting adults, that makes it okay. Perhaps the police agree and that is why so called psychics can practice without fear of arrest for fraudulently claiming to have psychic powers.

there has to be some kind of realness to it i think. when i was in the 8th grade, my english teacher explained to me that the big bang is a continuous cylce. Big bang, universe expands, universe contracts, then start over. Plus as far as i know theres evidence that suggest the universe is expanding and will contract (has something to do with entropy and all that i guess). so in essence, we relive our lives over and over and over....which is why we get deja vu for instance, because we've already lived our lives in the same way. Maybe real psychics are actually badass physicist who are able to understand entropy so well that they just know these things which is why they are psychics. this may also be why the words physics and psychics look so similar. but i dont really know, just my thoughts

There are some phonies out there, making false predictions for a cheap buck.
You can never be too sure with psychics....
That's why I don't trust them... there's too many of them to be real.

Psychics are just trying to earn a dollar or two from people with a IQ of about 85.

Yes there are some real pychics out there.I'v had a palm reading done in the past by one of our old family friend and i was told about my present life(which he told me very accuratly)Then he told me about my marriage and i was quiet shocked but i knew that it was true so i really believe in palm readings because i think there the most accurate ones!! And pyschic readings?well....i did had a few pyschic readings done but there were some things they told about my future that were true and somethings that never happened. But recently i met this Gypsy psychic and i have to say that she was accurate and also very sweet because she knew all about my life.I told her i had a little mentally challened brother who i takecare of and she told me that i will have my life when im 18 and that things will start to improve for me since im about to be 17.She also told me that life will be much easier since right now im very sad and depressed and not happy with life so she knew all that about me.But thats not all she told me more.So yeah there are some gifted people like that but you have to be lucky enough to find the true gems and not the fakers.
