Devin, Devlin, Devanie, Ciara and Melanie all have meanings related to "black," if that's what you're asking.
If you simply wanted names for an African American little girl, use anything you like! ;) There are no names considered of African American origin -- and the ones that might be stereotyped as such aren't generally the best examples of well-thought-out naming practice. In other words, they often lead to exactly that: stereotyping. Dig deep and find a real name with an actual history that you'd love to give your child, regardless of origin. ;)

I'm black and I know a lot of "black baby names",,,,,,we would be here for hours if I write down all the black ones! LOL! But anyways if and when I have my first daughter imma name her Giselle, I think its different and very classy. Also, I'm noticing people now are just taking common old names and just spelling them different....

What does that mean? A name like Sha' na Quanika? Don't do that to your baby girl. Give her a name everyone can pronounce and spell.
