My friend was telling me how the world is being completely screwed up by men (she's right on that part) and challenged me to name one women who caused some sort of major disastor. Her question intrigued me so I decided to see how many I could find. I've only got a couple so far:
Helen of Troy-the Trojan War
Hurricane Katrina(that one's a stretch)-New Orleans Disaster
Typhoid Mary-Typhoid epidemic in New York
Mrs. O'Leary-Chicago Fire (it's possible it was her cow though)
Any ideas people?
Thanks for your help to all who answer!

thanks all so far for your answers! Please keep them comin'! For those who said it doesn't rea;;y matter whether or not men or women caused more disasters or something along those lines, I understand, but at this point, I'm doing this more for the fun of the challenge, you are right though. Pandora is a great answer that I didn't think of. Ann Coulter and Leona Helmsley were bad people who are women, but I'm looking more for disasters than just bad things. Btw, I can't remember who said the women I thought of didn't do it intentionally, I know but the fact remains, it happenned, and Helen of Troy DID willingly leave her husband for Paris, knowing all the other kings of Greece swore to protect her, so she must have known they would come an dfight for her, causing deaths, even if she didn't know to that scale.
P.S. I thought of another one, it's also a bit of a stretch, but Monica Lewinsky ;)

Throughout history women have had a much more passive roles in general so it follows that they would have caused less disasters, at least on the surface. On the other hand, most progress was also made by men. The light bulb, penicillin, cars etc... As they say, he who does nothing, breaks nothing.
There have been great women though as well as horrible ones. Clara Barton and Mother Theresa come to mind on the good side. Catherine the Great was pretty horrible and Evita Peron was no saint.

properly at the start, i don't have faith theirs a such component as a lost reason whilst it comprises human beings. If time and area constantly has a objective then how can a individual be void? whilst i replaced into youthful i exploit to think of it replaced into my existence's paintings to constantly experience needed and have a objective outdoors of myself. I had to be doing some thing that reported as all of my attempt. i wanted to make certain some thing get extra useful at my hand. I nevertheless kinda experience that way yet i are turning out to be to be extra egocentric and care extra that i'm not the only inflicting the wear and tear.

Interesting observation; I've noticed in my research that many authors of research and books have caused the tides to change, men and women have both been capable to influence disaster and calm.

A pessimist is a man who thinks all women are bad. An optimist is a man who hopes they are

A man is as good as he has to be, and a woman is as bad as she dares

For your friend:
Women cannot complain about men anymore until they start getting better taste in them

I can't think of any "disaster women" off the top of my head but I think it is interesting to point out that none of the women you mentioned caused disasters intentionally.

Decode this lyrics " Woman in love"
When the elephant go wild.
It just trample anything on it path.
Look in the real world out there.
How "Venus and " Proud Mary" kicking the butts of their men.
Decode this lyrics" All out of love"
Ever wonder how the men all " Lost in love"
Even ended up in sissy gowns.
