It's simple. Ron Paul stands for true social and economic freedom. Freedom incurs responsibility, and that is why so many men fear it. Ron Paul wants them to live their own lives as free, responsible men and women. And only a handful of people are capable of handling that.

i do no longer comprehend why lots of folk are against Dr. Paul. he's via a techniques, the main authentic candidate available. George Will reported that Dr. Paul might shake up the GOP political scene this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in his February Newsweek column and so a techniques, he has. The question continues to be, will the GOP honest vote for a real candidate or yet another spoiled brat, have confidence-fund baby like Bush and function yet another 4 years of regretting their vote?

I agree with a lot of things that Ron Paul does and says. He's trying to get the country to follow the US Constitution to a T again. The problem with Ron is that he's trying to do too many things at once to do that. It will take a whole generation, not 4 years, to do that.
I think that's what freaking people out about Ron, that he's trying, and doing a lot. The past two or three generations are not used to following the Constitution. He should do a few things first, then let the other Constitutionalists do the rest in the years to come.

Everyone who supports Ron Paul has a different reason for it...
Some people support him because he is a Republican who is not Bush.
Some people even support him because they think he will take votes away from the Dems...
My problem with him is that he is running as a Republican - plain and simple.
I will not vote for a Republican for President EVER again...
How many times do we have to watch this dog and pony show?
The Republicans are the original spin doctors and you never really know what you're gonna get with them...
And who would his running mate be?
I am not willing to hand over the Presidency and the Vice Presidency to the Republican party to add another 8 years to their 3-decade rule over America.

The Neocons have made him irrevelant.
They try to pass him off as a nut case.
Since the Neocons control the Republican party, he has no chance of getting elected.
If he had the money, I think he would run as an Idependent, because I am sure Ron Paul is disgusted with the Neocons.

He wants to eliminate most of government and depend on the generosity of people to handle most problems.
He believes that the US is working to surrender its sovereignty and form a "North American Union," when there is no proof of such a thing.
He voted against a Hurricane Rita relief bill that would give needed money to residents in his district, then took credit for its passage...
He's not mentally stable.

That is exactly what he (RP) said at a rally I saw on CSPAN Friday evening. I didn't see the whole segment so I don't know where he was (it was filmed Thursday), and he was answering (yes, actually ANSWERING the questions put to him).
He knows his plan(s) can't be carried out overnight.

I am thinking about Mike Huckabee. I cannot vote for anyone who voted against the Iraq war putting our military to shame like that, and I have seen TV interviews and heard him on the radio so I do not like Ron Paul.
