Ha ha ha ha. What a wonderful excuse, we lost because we played an SEC team. An SEC team beat the number one team in the country so the SEC has to be the best. I love the rationale.
Kentucky is a garbage team, the other teams in the SEC just have become a little crappier. So if SEC teams beat eachother, nothing lost, still the best right? Well lets say the same thing for the ACC and the WAC and CUSA.

Realistically the only reason I would say it is overrated is cause the majority of SEC nation ALWAYS thinks they are the best. It just this year they dont have that "team" and their conference isnt the best this year. They are all average and there is no real dominant conference. It has been a weird year with lots of parody. Trust me living in the SEC nation I have to hear it all the time

I dont think of the SEC is puffed up, yet I additionally do think of they don't have the main suitable communities interior the country....you've got assorted good communities with a million great team in a convention and that's what the SEC is....LSU rather is the only team out of the SEC that merits to be in a BCS bowl sport, each and all the others are relaxing to visual reveal unit beat up on one yet another

Every team in the SEC can be sitting at .500 or so and they would still say it is the best conference. The excuse, as dCon mentioned, we play eachother. They can be the best in their minds, ignoring any other conference can be their style. They are not fans of the game, just fans of their geographic region. The rest of the nation doesn't need fans like them.

The SEC is usually very strong, if not the strongest. It's a bit hard to tell at this point in the season.

This year? You can't tell until bowl season. In previous years, absolutely. The "lowly" big ten has a winning record in bowl games over them in the last 5 years, 8-6.

I think it's the hardest conference out of all of them.
Why is it overrated?
Just because LSU lost...
well they lost to another SEC team bud.

Far from it. Kentucky's win proves how tough the conference is top to bottom, more than any other conference.
You want overrated, let's talk Big Ten.

I agree.
There are good teams and bad teams in the SEC. Just like every other conference.
