AAARGH! This is annoying me. On my comp, I have Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Opera installed. I used Firefox most of the time, and I've been using it for quite a while now.

When I enter a LETTER in the web address, it literally takes like FIVE SECONDS for that visited web pages dropdown list to pop up.

I tried Control Panel > Internet Options > Clear History, but it clears the history in INTERNET EXPLORER, not Firefox. How do I delete the history in Firefox so that it saves me 5 secs of my life when I type in a web address?!!! HELP PLEASE!

Here's what may be a permanent solution:

1. Click the Tools->Options menu item.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Under History, deselect the Remember visited pages check box.
4. Click OK.
5. Log out of all Firefox browsers.

When you log back in, the list should be clear and won't gather more entries.

Hope that helps.

Tools>options>privacy tab>set days to keep history to zero.

Or (same place) do some 'unchecking'.
