The writers in Hollywood are gearing up to go on strike next month. When this happens none of the writers belonging to the writer's guild will be able to write for any tv show or movie. Anyone who writes during the strike will not be permitted to join the guild after the strike, therefore being banned and never working in Hollywood again. So, you're gonna have to wait until the strike is over to even get a glance at your script because no one will read it until then. Also, remember you don't get paid for a screenplay huge money. Usually about 30 thousand for a first-time movie scriptor. Part of the reason for the upcoming strike though is to ensure writers get a fair share of dvd sales, a share they presently do not get. So, when the day comes, you'll be able to bargain for an upfront paycheck and writer's royalties on dvd sales, if passed. Good Luck! :)
