You find persons who for some reason cant or don't want to do their own personal shopping. You either charge per trip or per hour. Great job!

it differs depending on the circumstance:

- a department store has a personal shopper who will shop with you to help you find flattering items for your size and shape.

- a high-end department store will pull clothes for your size and shape in advance. they are ready when you arrive and you simply try them on and choose what you like.

- if you can afford it, a personal shopper will shop various stores and boutiques for you (with your size, shape, and style in mind). they will bring these items to you and return whatever you don't want. a lot of celebs get this treatment from their stylists. in this case, it is the stylist's job to keep up with current trends and designers. they present their findings to the celeb. that is why there always seems to be an "it" bag or trends (like leggings) that all celebs seem to be doing at the same time. their stylists are attending the same fashion shows and are being exposed to the same trends coming down the run way.
