GW Character slots?

I'm planning to buy nightfall (Guild Wars), and was wondering, if I get it, does it add 4 character slots to my file, or do i have to use the same 4?

My 4 slots are full right now, but i have not added nightfall

Actually each full game (not GW:EN) you get after the first gives you two additional character slots to the 4 you start with.

You can also buy additional slots from the Guild Wars store for $9.99 each I think.

Also note that you can transport characters from one game to the other by doing a specific quest in about the 1/3 point of the campaign.

When you buy Nightfall, you'll get two more character slots, for a total of six.

And remember, you can also bring your existing four characters over to Elona, the Nightfall continent.

You can also purchase character slots one-by-one if you want, from the in-game store.
