If disaster equals change, than yes, we are on a course for disaster.
What we are facing is change, the inevitable fact of life all things must accommodate.
We cannot waste natural resources in the name of profit.
We must become green. This concept isn't new. "The Greening of America" was written in 1971.
America, as the worlds reputed sole super power faces a veritable phalanx of enemies, NOT ONLY IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
The family unit must accommodate two incomes.
The times are a changin'. But remember the relativity of it: things looked this bad to Americans in 1941, 1950,, 1961, 1963, 1973, ..1983. 1985...why now is it suddenly different?

Okay, yes our country is headed toward WAR, and we have no choice about that. We can remain passive and give the enemies the advantage, and be taken over; or we can fight back and try to maintain our freedom; either way, we will have war.
It will be a global conflict, and the future of the world's nations is at stake.
As for global warming, we simply don't have enough knowledge to decide what's causing it, whether it's good or bad, and what could be done about it in the near future. In the medieval times there was a period warmer than it is now, and there was an explosion of creativity in Europe.
In any case, the War is going to overwhelm any concern with the climate in the near future. Most likely, though, there will be scientific advances resulting from the war, which will be of great benefit afterwards.
History marches on.

Decode this lyrics " Fire"
Don't think so.
Never fear.
Captain America is here for you.
Taking over the control from Batman and Robin in steering the star-ship back on course.
That had been way off-course for quite sometime.
Until the wings caught fire and leaking with water too.
What do you think?

Brief Answer: yes.
Defense of Brief Answer: When a leadership is unable,. unwilling or pathological hates to deal with reality space-time, and substitutes a public interest version they make up, that's disaster in the making. Such actions go beyond lying; whoever has done them in history has tried to three fatal errors not one:
1. Pretending to science when all they have is mystical beliefs, unsupported attitudes and myths to go by.
2. Lacking scientific value standards based n categorizing definitions, they make mistakes as to what is valuable and harmful, important and not, immediate or long term--they're unfailingly late, early, and lack any defensible priorities.
3. In place of science they put falsified data, lies, fraud, deliberate deceptions--aiming to get deluded victims to believe in their infallible rightness and/or final judgmental power as a necessity; what they're really doing is substituting pragmatic brainwashing of obedients as he future victims for knowledge of reality--as any criminal rationalizes his crime by saying, "I can get away with this--who needs to be realistic?"
Both parties are Medieval anti-reality, anti-individual and anti-conceptual. Look at our educational system. There are no hard-and-fast definition drawn according to prioritized 5-6 working or structural essentials. The government has substituted analysis for science--and they wonder why people can' even defend freedom of speech, individual rights claimed under regulations and the rights of others as equal to yours.
We've alienated our allies, infuriated our enemies, deregulated our middle class into poverty and neither party can stop handing tax break to immoral super-wealthy non-creators while the rest of us lack justice in the workplace, the marketplace of goods and services and lack regulations to govern non-fictional utterance--including during elections.
Face it: It's bad, and getting rapidly worse. Sorry. But I've spent 25 years warning people what was happening--and they still don't get the difference between liberty and
having to obey public interest orders. We have to vote for someone who will restore our constitution--and the time for doing it is rapidly (in my opinion) running out.
