Fantasy is all it will be...as we both religiously reiterate, The 2nd Amendment is not negotiable.

Edit/Add: Is it my imagination or did I just see a feeble attempt at an insult?(Voted for...make up your mind)...Maybe you should stick to your coloring books and give this another try when you get out of middle school...

Of course they do. They know that the Founnding Fathers created the Second Amendment to protect the rest of the Constitution from people like socialist libs who want to control every aspect of your life. Remember, an Armed Man is a Citizen, an unarmed man is a Subject.

Maybe that guy you're referring who asked about banning handgun, but even that isn't a total abolition of the 2nd amendment. No, I don't know anyone who wants to do away with the 2nd amendment, I sure don't myself.

There are probably some misguided individuals on the far-left, but the American population in general probably wouldn't be too thrilled at the prospect of a total gun ban for civilians.

Yes, one of the biggest wet dreams for a liberal, is to disarm the population. It's one of the steps in converting the country to socialism/communism, I mean progressivism. They will say it's to reduce crime but that's a red herring. It has nothing to do with crime, it's about goose-stepping towards a warm & fuzzy version of communism. The real goal- one world order.

I remember when Clinton was President. He would not enforce the current gun laws BUT would politicize we needed more laws (that he never intended to enforce). If we conceded to Clinton, he would never ever settle for a compromise; liberals are like the Palestinians. Whatever compromise or agreement you offer, they will take it and then continue to drive you into the sea with further demands. I don't have a gun and am uncomfortable to have a gun in my house. However, I know the real goal of liberals has nothing to do with minimizing crime. Hey, they exploit the people who do crime; all criminal lawyers are screaming socialists; liberals are the last people on earth to turn to for a solution to stop crime, so don't believe them when they say it's to stop violence.

Of course they do. The dems see they cannot remove all the hand guns, so they want to take a back door approach, they want to go after the stores selling the ammo. I heard they are going to mix it in a bill.

And they keep saying trust us we are here to help.

I know lots of Democrats like myself who would be just as angry as you if anyone attempted to abolish the 2nd Amendment. I don't have any problem with background checks or the Brady Bill (initiated by a Republican BTW) though.
