Well with all the diversity and so many different countries so close to each other with really diverse languages, is life more cultured and interesting in Europe? With the movie Sicko and all the Bush stuff and well I dunno, things aren't as free as they are advertised here. It's so conservative and the same here, as opposed to Europe where it's more diverse and liberal. What do you all think, which one's better, why, explain

I like Europe better for the quality of life. Food is better and diverse, languages are different, customs change from one place to the next, and, sometimes, we make fun of one another, but on the whole, we learned to respect and appreciate our differences.

This is an example.

I'd say that one presidential administration and one movie filled with questionable sources don't accurately portray a country or the quality of life therein.

I don't know which is "better", but people in America do have more freedom and are less monitored than, say, people in the UK. Taxes are lower in America than in most modernized European countries, but healthcare is, unfortunately, tangled in so much red tape it often is more inefficient than a deeply imbedded bureaucracy. People in Europe have more rights in regards to how they're treated by their employers, and have mandatory vacation time they must be given.

On the downside, all of Europe's natural rainforests have been deforested or destroyed, while America still does have some rainforests (coastal Washington State, for example, has a temperate rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula west of Seattle). On the up-side for Europe, environmental regulations are relatively tight, and Europe, as a whole, is relatively prosperous, but then, so is the USA.

So which is better? It depends on your definition of better and what you prefer.

Me? I'd prefer the Cascade Mountains over the Alps any day, and I'd take my right to privacy any day over the security that is offered by public monitoring systems that exist across the pond. But that's merely MY opinion, and not necessarily anyone else's.

Hasn't seen a big rush of people trying to emigrate to any European country but, if you look around you will find that hordes of people from those nations have come to live in the USA . . .

The melange of languages that I hear on the streets every day tells the story . . .

Why is Dany living in the USA instead of the Ukraine ?

Has Troll Patrol moved to his idyllic Europe ?

Definitely Europe is better. In Europe there are so many things you can't get in North America. Every European country has its own history, that is way better than American. I'm from Ukraine, and you should visit Kyiv - capital of Ukraine. You'll see that it is way better than US or Canada.

You need to learn about European history.

There is no way you can lump all Europe together as one culture. Some are far more consertavie than others.

we pay about $ 2.70 for a gallon of gasoline...they pay the equivalent of about $ 7.00. YOU decide which you would rather pay.
