This is not a fair comparison, because the two bikes are not in the same class of bikes. The DRZ250 should be compared to the Honda XR250, but I'm not sure if they make those anymore.

They are all about the same with one exception, the Honda and Yamaha do not use a power valve. This is fine for advanced riders, but for a beginner to intermediate rider it is a disadvantage. So if you are an A or B class racer any of the 3 would be fine, but if you are a C class racer or just ride for fun go for the RM, although the KTM85 is a better choice for any level but you didn't include it as an option.

The DRZ will do it all over the Honda, its got at least 30 yrs more technology. Better suspension, brakes engine.
However, the DRZ does have a much shorter design life, its a competition bike
If you want fast, DRZ. If you want reliable play bike with little maintainance for years. get Honda

In this day and age I think it boils down to personnel preference.

I grew up (in the 70's) riding Suzuki's, so I'd say the DR.
