No. If you use it in a commission of a crime, this will be considered a weapon.

The use of it as force is going to be risky when one of those knuckleheads call you bluff. Then it is the risk that you take in life.

Not a good idea. Pulling it on someone could result in brandishing a firearm or assault with a deadly weapon. You know it is just a toy, but the person looking down the barrel might not and if they killed you, articulating a reasonable fear for their life/safety could be easy to do. Plus, what are you going to do with your pellet gun when they draw down on you with their .40 cal? If you want to protect yourself, a better bet would be buying some pepper spray or an impact weapon.

It's a phenomenally bad idea. If you use it to "scare away" people, you risk a charge of brandishing a firearm even if it's a toy.

If a police officer sees it during a traffic stop, you risk getting shot.

Not illegal to carry a fake gun.

It's illegal to use it like you would a real gun if real gun's are illegal.

Also, if these "assholes" are real bad, they might not see the joke.

Better if it's a real (legal) gun).

No - just monumentally stupid.
When would it be any help ? Carjacking ? you wave your toy and get shot by a real gun.
Traffic stop ? LONG time chat with the cops while lying on the street, cuffed.
See where I'm going with this ? Just no benefit.

no, it's not illegal. But I wouldn't hide it under the seat or trunk, if you get stopped for a traffic violation, the cop could get nasty with you about it.
