we shouldn't go less then 5 or 6 because we lost to a top 20 team in their house in the 3 OT.

the fact that we lost to a ranked team softens the hit a little..I'll say 7th at the lowest

A loss is NOT a loss...USC lost at home to a 42 point underdog and only fell to 10...so why should LSU fall past 5 or 6 for losing to a ranked team on the road. Lets have some consistency. And no I'm not a USC or LSU fan.

You could be right, let's see how Cal does against Oregon State, it's tied right at this moment. If Oregon State were to beat Cal, Cal would drop further, without a doubt. I'd say LSU comes in anywhere between 5-9, probably closer to 9 than 5. USF was way more impressive this week, so voters aren't likely to vote a team with one loss ahead of them, but, you never can tell.

doesn't matter a loss is a loss. they should fall somewhere around 9 or 10.

get over it. a loss is a loss. there's no such thing a quality loss. but that's the problem with college football now a days. this over time crap simply give's teams who've played poor all game long a chance to win it with a extra frame. lame. i remember the days when if you played to a tie score at the end of the game. it was a tie and it showed on the record. i showed that you PLAYED POOR. if Lsu had won this game in ot would they have (deservingly) lost their number 1 ranking? i mean usc lost it to a pretty damn good huskies team-and fact of the matter is the huskies could easily be 4-1-they've played all their teams tough). this over time crap gave Lsu a chance to win it in ot when in fact they played poor all game and really shouldn't have won (and guess what they didnt!) let's be real this is a fluke year for UK..sorry UK fans but its a fluke year. great win for you-but hey the huskies have won a title as recent as 90 or what 91? where as UK had its first winning season last year in like what? 40 years? so again fact of the matter is is a loss is a loss and there's no such thing as a quality loss. even if it ended in a tie LSU would have been looked down upon.

i'm glad UK pulled it out. because more often than not-in the extra frame the teams like Lsu always seem to get a call to help them win

not this time. they'll lose one more before the season is over-(they should have lost to florida) and guess what? we won't be having this debate.

LSU is overrated. only gets that love because it plays in the sec and most of the guys in the media went to sec schools.

that simple.

From what I see about #5. Cal, OSU, BC and USF will all be ahead of them but I see them being the top ranked 1 loss team. Not an LSU fan at all, just calling it as I see it. I guess it would be sorta funny to see them ranked behind USC but will never happen.

Seeing as USC lost to Stanford at home, and LSU lost at Kentucky to a ranked team in triple overtime, we shouldn't drop any lower than 6th or 7th. That's assuming Cal doesn't lose.

somewhere from 8-10.

If USC fell to 10 after losing at home to an unranked team where as LSU lost to a ranked team in their stadium, then they can't be lower than 10.

4-6

Deffinitly 9 or 10.

I personally feel the should be ranked above USC at 10 due to the fact they lost to Stanford and were awful against Arizonia.

And Kentucky has to be considered to jump up a bunch of spots.

Ranking shouldn't be about who lost what when. It should be about who the voter thinks is better. After watching this game, I would have LSU around 6th.
