Ohio State has TWO very solid wins so far this year... @ Washington, 33-14, who hung tough with USC and are having a decent season. Also, OSU shut down the Big Ten's #1 ranked offense winning at Purdue, 23-7.
Ohio State is one of only 5 or 6 teams in the country that has proven they can play great defense on a consistent basis. Entering this weekend, they are the #2 ranked defense in the country, giving up 210 yards a game, 46 rushing yds/gm, and 7.2 points a game. I don't care who you are playing. College Football is so offense-based anymore, that when you hold teams to 7 points or less consistently you are doing a great job.
Purdue (Entering this weekend) is averaging 39 pts. and 458 yards a game. (These numbers include what happened in the Ohio State/Purdue Game).
Last Week, Ohio State held Purdue to 7 Points and 272 Yards. Enough said.

I agree this is why all the hype about the National Championship last year about how Ohio State was too good for Florida come to find out the Big 10 just sucks look what happened to Michigan against USC it was horrible SEC is the strongest conference this year well, PAC-10 is right there also Ohio doesn't deserve a #1 after LSU lost period

THey played Kent State. I know a redshirt there. I thought it was like a D2 team or something.
I could care less about OSU though. They play one game that matters to me. In the Big House in Ann Arbor. Were the Michigan Wolverines will shock the Buckeyes

I agree with you. The nation loves Ohio State more than Cal though. If Michigan knocks the Buckeyes off, with their schedule, they'll fall to like, #13.

No tough non-conference game, and the Big Ten blows worse this year than last year. No other conference team is in the Top 25 come tomorrow (or shouldn't be, unless getting blown out by Oregon at home has become meaningless).

I am in no way a fan of the Big 10, but yes they are one of the top 20 teams in the nation.
One of the top 10? That is a different story....
