He probably decided you wern't the one for him. He mulled over the possibility, and then decided against it. Men do this sometimes. I had a man do that to me once in college. For whatever reason, they change their mind about pursuing it. The worst thing you can do is ask him about it. Just ignore him. He may come back around later.

Is he married? If he is and then...If this is the case..maybe you misread his intentions or wished he felt something for you. Or maybe at the time
you thought he was interested in you but it
was only an attraction a flirt and his real love remain with his wife and he realized this and wanted to remain loyal to her.Maybe they had
been having problems. That's why the change. However, He is in love with her and
realized you were only a temporary attraction. If this is the case leave him alone.
If he is single...then ask him. Be open to
communication. There is nothing wrong in
being concern so approach the subject
politely. He may have misunderstood something
you said or did. He might just be going thru something..a personal problem/situation.
Ask him or you'll never know and perhaps he
would even appreciate it or be taken over by
your honest concern about him.

Either he is afraid of a commitment and getting into a more serious relationship, or you read the signs wrongly.

But there is nothing worse than uncertainty so talk to him about it.Tell him just that... that you miss the friendship and would like to find out why his behavior changed so drastically.
Communication is the most important thing between humans so communicate!!!!
The worst that can happen is finding out he is a jerk.. but maybe it is all a misunderstanding
Good luck

For men the two hardest things to do is to first ask a woman out on a date and the second is to tell a woman that their relationship is over.

If a good friend changes all of a sudden, there is a good possibility that he is afraid of the second hardest thing for him to do.

Level with him and get him to open up to you. He owes it to you to tell you the truth. Ease it out of him and let him think it’s HIS idea to be honest with you. There may be other reasons for his mood change but I doubt it. If you leave him alone, he will only wind up hurting you more.

I would step back from him and not pursue him. Obviously something has changed for him. Men are not crazy about confrontations anyway. Give him some space and see what happens.

Just ask him.You should be open and honest in all relationships. Why play the geussing game when you can get right to the point?
