I don't think I could, no matter how much I know about programming. I bet it took a large team of developers with different skills to make it, Do you think you could do that?!?

Yep, I could do it in two days if I wanted to. Isn't that hard, just a little HTML here, some VB Web Forms here, and just a hint of PHP. Makes me wonder why such a lame site even exists...

No, I highly doubt anyone here could do it without spending years studying web design. While I could at times argue with the design of this site (most notably, the inability to disable some features that are less-than-favorable to dialup users, such as the mouse-hover-over-profile thing), it was designed by people trained and certified (at the least) in web design and developed by people trained, certified, and highly-experienced in web development.

Even so, the site itself is simply a wrapper (a container, if you will). Y! Answers is simply a very large database, one about as complex as Wikipedia or Amazon. The DBA (or more likely, DBAs) who created the DB had to have some serious experience. I certainly couldn't create something like the database that drives this site (which effectively puts me out of the running).

Finally, making such a site alone would be a rediculous effort. While a lot of the work would still be done for you (the question assumes that you'd remember enough about the "original" Y! Answers to recreate it from memory (at least the look and feel of it), it would take you far too long (it probably took a /team/ of developers /years/ to do it) to be practical (we'd be flying our cars to work by the time you thought out how to do anything significant).

For fun, I'll post a list of what I think /has/ to be running behind the scenes (web languages, etc):
Oracle database (language would be SQL, obviously)
PHP
HTML (duh)
CSS
javascript (or something to that effect)
Perl

To be sincere, that is no longer believe, it is blatant and absolute stupidity. There is an excessive amount of anonymity in this web site to suppose some thing. You can stick any image you favor on as an avatar, and you'll be able to without doubt write probably the most utter nonsense as your profile. You can declare to be any gender, any age, any nationality, any color and any sexual or devout persuasion you favor and nobody fairly is aware of if it is the fact or no longer. If that has occurred to you, I consider that you simply must be very cautious approximately what you're doing and certainly do not go back the favour via giving any of your possess main points.

Yes, the Yahoo Team developed it, I doubt one person could replicate it to the same style that Yahoo has done it, although a much simpler version with less features would be possible.

Half of the ppl here can program a lesser degree replacement of it single-handedly, myself included.

But as complete as this probably took a team for development.

You obviously have too much spare time on your hands. Go try to program something that hasn't been invented yet. My friends brother-in-law invented TurboTax and sold it to the company Intuit. He now lives in a 45,000 sq. ft house now that even has it's own bowling alley and secret hidden passageways in case people break in to try and kidnap their kids. Amazing....
