I need a new graphics card as my current one is only 64mb and can barely cope with vista ultimate. I have two cards in mind and I would like some feedback on which one would be better (or if they are both useless!).

First is a Sapphire ATI Radeon™ HD 2400PRO 256MB PCI-E from maplin

Secondly a Inno3D Nvidia® Geforce 8400 256MB PCI-E Graphics Card also from maplin

They are both £49.99 so give me your thoughts.

Wow! 64mb! That is a fossil!
The 2400 looks like it has good specs but if you are into gaming at all, i would reccommend
a video card with 512mb of memory as the newer games and applications are getting more and more demanding. From what I know, 256mb on a video card now is quickly becoming a "minimum requirement". Atleast this way you will be set for a few years and not have to upgrade again anytime soon.

It depends on what you need the card for. If you are a gamer, then you picked the perfect word, both are useless. If you just want a little smoother performance from Vista, and have no intention to game, really either of these will do the job, I would take the ATI since there Vista drivers are just a little better at the moment.
