Have you read his speech --- June 5, 1944?

It should be required reading of every American --- especially every Liberal.

Today's liberals would have court-marshalled him to private for making the greatest speech in history.

Have to disagree, he was awesome but his men wouldn't have followed him anywhere. Many hated him and still hate him today. He pushed them beyond what anyone, including themselves, though possible. That's what made him such an effective leader. He did not care. He believed he'd been reincarnated in this life after dying in battle in many past lives. He valued honor and courage far above the will to live which is why he slapped a wounded g.I that was suspected to have shot himself to get away from the front. Basically, the guy was barely sane but amazing. Gotta love patton

This is hardly the greatest speech ever, and during WW II,America was led by the greatest liberal ever,Franklin Delano Roosevelt.Conservatives, like Prescott Bush, were too busy doing business with the Nazis, even after war had been declared.

So,to make a long story short, you don't know what you're talking about. But,that doesn't stop a con from spewing their garbage.

Oh, by the way, it was the very liberal President Roosevelt who lead us into and through World War II. Liberals are not against defending America. America's two largest wars. World War I and World War II were lead by liberal presidents. Liberals are critical of this president's lack of effective strategy. (The Iraq action has now gone on longer than our participation in World War II with no end or progress in sight).

Yes, I've read it. For its time, it was great stuff.
