I find them hard to stick down because they are so long to I end up having part of the wing stuck down incorrectly.

i find this happens to me as well but i do what i can because i flow heavy and have to change them every hour the first 4 days. im 39 and still have to keep extra clothes at work. my daughters got lucky or something they dont have that problem.
my biggest problem is the pad wants to curl at the end and i have to start all over.

I use Always with wings and dont have any problems. Some of the longer ones I do notice a little but nothing major.

I do.They have 2 wings and still won't fly like a glider.

Try getting ones that aren't long, the size should be on the package..that should help.
