I think we should pass a law that will strip citizenship from American-born convicted felons. What do you think?

They lose several of their activists that way every year.

If someone really is any of those things the would be in prison for the rest of their lives any way, and when, if ever, they do get out they have lost most of their Citizenship rights in any case.

Of course if they are loyal Bushies they get Pirate welfare anyway, as well as a taxpayer funded retirement, They certainly have been lavish with Mark Foley that way.

We have a law that does that. It is called LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE. Actually if you get convicted of First(and I believe Second) Degree Murder in PA that is the MINIMUM punishment. The only other possible punishment is Execution. If you are in Prison the rest of your life you really have no rights anymore. As to sexual offenders we stripped them of most of their rights with "Megan's Law". Most States probably use an UNCONSTITUTIONAL Law. Shortly after it was established in PA it was thrown out because the burden of proof is put on the defendant, that is ILLEGAL. It is up to the STATE to PROVE the person will commit a similar crime, the burden of proof is ALWAYS on the State. That is what the Constitution says.

What are you going to do with them? Without citizenship, they couldn't stay here. Where would they go? No other country would have them.

England used to send them to Australia/New Zealand and later to the new land - America. Didn't really help them all that much. Those same convicts (their descendents actually) in the new world eventually started a war of independence which resulted in the United States.

Yeah, but where would they go.

Fidel Castro did that to us in the 1970's when Jimmy Carter allowed the Mariel Boatlift. Castro opened his prisons and marched his prisoners to the boats that took them directly to the US.

What other Nations do we dislike enought to send our prisoners to? .
Since Castro will not be around much longer, Cuba is no longer an option. Whatabout Iran? - North Korea? - Syria? - Venezuela?

And then do what? Is there a country out there that is saying "Give us your tired, your poor, your murderers and child molesters yearning to do their thing in our back yard"? Convicted felons already face a host of limitations on their civil rights.

humorous you may ask this - we've been having precisely this debate in our biology classification at the instant. Its an enticing one and could desire to be argued perpetually. the hassle is, the place do you draw the line? Say case in point I crash my vehicle and somebody is killed. Does that make me a assassin? if so does this advise i could lose all my human rights and grow to be a lab rat? I do consider you to a definite quantity although.

I will admit, I have NO love for any of the groups you mentioned, but its highly unlikely that any country is going to offer their hospitalities for them.

I think if we disgrace them for life, neuter them, take away their rights and imprison them for as long as we can, we have already done them enough favors by supporting them with a roof cot and meals for life.

no. one must have citizenship regardless of his deeds. that would be like saying "oh, he's a killer therefore he cannot be American". That is just wrong. it would give an unfair and unrealistic image of the US.

no
then those in jail for the same offenses would want to be let out free on the grounds of biased and unfair incarceration

That would be defeating the purpose of America even more than what is already happening. Isn't isolating them from society and killing them ourselves in the end good enough?

I think that's hardcore enough.
