There is no movement to impeach Bush now.
Yes, some Democrats voted in 2002 to give Bush authority to start a war on Iraq. At the time of the vote, the administration predicted that the war would last 6 months at the most. That is really what the Democrats authorized. Bush now claims that that vote was an open ended grant of authority for a war that will last for generations. I am not exaggerating. He says that Congress does not have the authority to vote to end a war, that it can only authorize the start of a war. If the Democrats knew that they would be dealing with such an unreasonable and autocratic president, who planned to occupy Iraq indefinitely, they would not have given Bush the authority to invade Iraq.

No, the significant impediment for the impeachment of President Bush is that there is no info that any regulation become damaged. Democrats can communicate about articles of impeachment all they opt for, it is going to pass nowhere. Do you surely trust that if the Democrats had a valid case with info adversarial to Bush that they could carry back??? Bush has no longer violated any regulation.

Both the Republicans and Democrats are considering Impeachment. Neither party is happy with what President Bush has done. Even his own party members are fed up.

Can you believe it's an election season? (ammended)
Google Impeach or Wiki it. It is not over policy it entails behavior of a criminal intent. Clinton: Obstruction of Justice & Perjury. OK so you have no grounds.. Just bullsh*t and propaganda.
Any idea which war this is? Iraq #2 folks

so, yes , Congress can get the ball rolling
But at this point can they agree on anything?
Doubtful. Plus they better be damn sure during
an election. If they make any more mistakes they
are all gone.
THUS my point. Nothing will happen as they jockey
around during a political, Presidential election. TY

oops we voted for it!
FYI GW Bush ain't running folks?!
SO stand in line. Prosecute Bubba and all the other ex Presidents that brought US here.

some democrats probably did vote for the war, but because both CIA and British MI6 believed there to be weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. while the war in Afghanistan was not voted for, but agreed upon because of 9/11.
do you know what they want to impeach bush for?
maybe you heard about the wire tap and the CIA listening to your phone calls, or the secret prisons where Iraqis are kept and tortured against the Geneva Convention which the US has signed.

Simple--Democrats voted for the war based on lies told by Bush that Saddam was linked to al-Qaida and had WMD.
Now that we know the truth--the fact that Bush lied to get us into this war is grounds for impeachment.

They need to be able to prove "High Crimes and Misdemeanors" to impeach any President. Sort of like lying to the Grand Jury, launching missiles at foreign nations when your girl friend or yourself have to testify to same... You know... things like this.
Your question is valid. The real question is "Why do the Democrats want to impeach President Bush?"
The answer is... sour grapes.
Warm regards,
Douglas

The Democrats didn't vote to authorize Bush's illegal wiretapping of Americans!!!!
That's just one thing Bush should be impeached for.
Bush chose to use the Niger Uranium 'evidence' even after his own advisers told him it was NOT strong evidence.
Colin Powell OMITTED the Niger Uranium 'evidence' when he went before the U.N. looking for authorization to invade Iraq.
He did this because he also knew the 'evidence' was unsubstantiated!
Bush should be impeached!

The Democrats cannot impeach Mr. Bush. There are no grounds for impeachment. The Dems know they don't have the votes.

Here are a few reasons:
Starting a war based on Iraq having WMD when the weapons inspector's after months and months of searching in Iraq were unable to find any, and to the this day have we yet to find any.
Failure to comply with the U.S. judicial system's subpoena's to submit White House documentation regarding the firings of the U.S. attorneys and failure to comply with another subpoena request to have 2 of his counsels testify in court.
Continued lack of war strategy in Iraq that is costing tax payers trillions of dollars.
Illegal wire tapping.
The approval of torture to Iraqi detainees and prisoners which goes against the Geneva Conventions.
While Katrina victims are drowing Bush is playing his guitar.
This would have to fall into a catergory of some sort that shows failure and lack of interest to take action during a time of crisis.
Putting the reputation of his appointed officials before the interests of the United States. The failure to appoint officials to positions who met the job requirements. Ex. FEMA director, Mr. Brown who Bush said was "doing a heck of a job" and then is relieved of his fema duties shortly after. Donald Rumsfeld who clearly did not know what he was doing and was finally relieved of his duties. Alberto Gonzales who clearly did not have a good memory because he said "I do not remember" too many times.
