That red, sweet, cough medicine...
Food, perfumes, medical spirits have changed for example, so the experience is quite rare I would say, but occasionally it hits you. Even the smell of a road being tarred reminds me of my childhood, as I was fascinated by the macinery (sorry if it sounds a bit boring...)

The smell from my grandmothers house when she was making jam and scones. We used to sit out in her front garden and eat the scones, still warm from the oven, with freshly churned butter from the dairy nearby and freshly made strawberry or raspberry jam.

coffee.. my mom made coffee all day long and i love the smell of fresh coffee beans being ground up and then fresh coffee making..
oatmeal cookies.. my mom made oatmeal cookies for me and i love oatmeal cookies
roast.. no matter what every Sunday my mom made roast with potatoes and carrots. corn on the cob.
fresh bread.. my dad made home made yeast rolls soft and light and so good..
any one of these smells brings me back to my childhood.

The smell of floor polish, my mam used to put polish on our floors every saturday and we'd wear old socks and slide on the floors to bring up the shine, my favourite chore!!

white shoulders perfume....that was the kind my moma always wore
home cooking and the smell of fresh veggies rite out of the garden....
those were the days!!! i sure miss my mom and my grandparents!
