Japan, of course. Christian Italy and Germany against other Europeans practicing Christianity, plus the Soviet Union. (The U.S. came into to the war just before the end, of course).

All of humanity is inherently warlike.
But Islam gets the "warlike" label from their early history, when Islam was quite literally spread in the point of a spear. Forced conversion or death.
But like all religions, Islam has gone through cycles of violence. When it was growing, it was violent. When it had reached it's furthest, peace was the name of the game. When the West began pushing back in earnest, violent again. Then peaceful again.
These cycles corresponded to similar cycles in Christianity, so it's not just Islam.
WWII was fought between Christian states because that is where the world's power is concentrated. Don't forget the barbarism shown by Islamic powers in religious wars in Africa during Europe's reniassance or the Islamic civil wars or the Ottoman conquests. Wars on a near-global scale are not limited to the West.

Have you never heard of the Ottoman Turks. Or the Moore's of Spain. The christian world was all most the Muslim world. No where that Islam is today did it get there peacefully. ( except for those that have migrated to Europe and America in the last 50 years. ) Islam has been a religion spread by the sword. Even today there are those that would force Islam on the world by bombs and bullets. There have been enlighten times in Islam. Peace and prosperity. But Islam has turned to the sword to spread it's religion time and time again.

Hitler invaded Poland on September a million, 1939. the eastern bombed Oahu on December 7, 1941. Germany surrendered on could 8, 1945. Japan surrendered on August 15, 1945. From December 7, 1941 till the date of the eastern resign the U. S. became engaged in a international conflict on a minimum of 5 fronts. you want a clean calendar!

No religion is exempt from murder. Islam was spread throughout the world by the sword. It's no secret.
