Funding it is the same as supporting it and dont tell me because they dont want to put the troops in harms way. Do you honestly believe that if congress stopped the funding that our troops would be stuck over there with no way home?
Were we lied to back in November?

Bush threatened to keep the troops there without the funding. He said he would take money from other areas of the defense budget. I really do believe that Congress believed him., and that the dire situation that followed have been blamed on the Democrats. Consider your own view. You're saying the Democrats are responsible for the troops that die now. They did not start the war, and they are currently unable to end it with a reasonable draw down of troops because Bush vetoes their bills.

Congress is still funding the war because anyone who doesn't vote to fund the war will be characterized as not supporting the troops, and a majority of sitting congresspeople don't want that leading into an election year. And we were not lied to back in November. Pelosi and Reid thought the war had caused a wave of liberalism to spread across the nation, when actually they rode a wave of moderates who were fed up with Bush being too bullheaded to realize his Iraq strategy wasn't working. We (the moderates) wanted a strategy change, and we got it with the troop surge.

YES we were lied to last November. The Dem's in Congress are a joke. What makes me so mad at them is they aren't even fighting and Nancy Pelosi said impeachment was off the table.

People will say, "Well, they just can't get the votes." Look, they aren't even TRYING to get the votes or bring out the ones who oppose their bills. Turn the negativity onto those guys and Bush. Let America see Who is not letting them try and get their job done in Congress. America spoke last November. They need to step up and start fighting.

Democrats lied about Iraq and leaving. They know we cannot leave. They have tried to pin a loss that they have caused on Republicans.

The MSNBC debate showed the democrats true colors. Not one of the major candidates promised to have all troops out by 2013. The writing is on the wall.

For the same reason we stayed in VietNam so long, it's a way of paying back big corp. contributors, they make the products that the troops and war machine need to keep fighting.

I guess they like the feeling of the picket fence sticking up their butts since they've been sitting on it for almost a year.
