what is the difference between the Series 1 and Series 2 sets of baseball cards from Topps? I know that they come out at different times, but are there different players in each series?

Well there are a few reasons why they do it.

I don't know all of them, but here are some.

1. It lets them update players with teams. Most sets come out in Feb, and there is stuff that happens in Baseball after Feb.

2. It lets them make more money because they split up good players so you buy both series.

Series 2 comes out later, and so can have traded players represented on their new teams, early-season call-ups, and so on. But they are considered one, continuous set.
