Should the dems appoligize to the Turkish people before they start a major war that would involve all of that region?
Is this the type of foreign policie we can expect if a dem gets in the White House?

The Dems realize that if they can make an enemy of Turkey and have them close our base there, it stops the supply lines to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a political move to try to disrupt the war. This way they can blame Turkey if we end up having to withdraw troops, instead of taking the political risk of cutting off funding like they did in Vietnam. Do you really believe the Dems are concerned with what happened there over 100 years ago. If that were the case we would all be paying reparations.

The Dems not need apologize, as Turkey has been wanting to cross the border into Iraq and clean out the PKK rebels for some time now. Any Turkish complaints about the non binding resolution passed by the Congress should be viewed merely as pretext for what was already a forgone conclusion. The rebels have been causing them trouble for years.

The Democrats and Republicans (there were several) who voted for this should apologize for political posturing when there are more important matters to deal with.

Good, now Iraq can stand united against those fools and give them a good spanking.
Democrats have been encouraging our enemies for decades but I didnt think Turkey was one of them! We need to just shove some stuffing up their butts and throw them into an oven. Then maybe we can feed the people of Iraq since we're taking all their oil and they have no revenues to buy their own meals. Boohoo, Bush is more evil than any nation that sponsors terrorism. Isn't that just great. Yes, just as in the last election when the Democrats boasted of victory and results.
Look back a week or so. The Kurds opened their borders to Iran. Stating don't blame us for the United States troubles. They already got a suicide bombing for their efforts. Meanwhile the US is trying to secure borders from Iran and weapons transfers.
Turkey has a history with the Kurds. It is not pretty. Is Turkey in negotiations with Israel ? I read that today? So Iran is a factor here. Putin just P"Od Gates and Rice last week. President i'madinnajacket of Iran has been quiet for one week.
I deplore Clinton but even he saw fit to just let sleeping dogs lie. After 90 yrs? During war? Who cares anymore about the past. In one fell swoop of a pen these ...... have again put our front line forces in jeopardy and rocked the boat.
Turkey did this already to the British. She cut ties when they refused to concede. SO, why the frick are we here? Hillary voted for and then against I read. But she vacillated. That is my President , you betcha!
As each world leader waits like a pack of angry wolves we offer them a bunch of mindless sheep. God help us all.
Speaking of mindless which Iraq War are we in? 1 or 2?

Please do the research before you boast of Bush's War TY
* I just thought- weeks ago Hillary said before it was popular the US would be in Iraq longer to protect our interests, the new Embassy and the Kurds. One of her hillarious Sunday interviews I believe. AS President is that an agenda we want a piece of?

Our foreign policy is already screwed up and you should feel sorry for whoever is elected who has to try and regain the trust and respect from the other countries.
You wouldn't have to worry about the Dems apologizing to the Turkish people hadn't your Con's started a war to gain control of the oil line.

Pretty damn dumb of the Turks to propose an invasion because of a vote in a Congressional committee that carries no weight. Regardless of the fact that it was genocide and Turkey has denied it for decades, there is no reason to piss Turkey off - the last time they looked they were an ally.
If Turkey invades, it won't be because of this vote - it will be because they are looking for a reason, however flimsy, to go after the Kurds.
As to foreign policy, no administration has done more to hurt America through downright stupid foreign policy decisions as the Bush administration.

actually you meant turkey is now bluffing and is preparing to get paid off by the USA in exchange for a declaration that they have no intention of invading Iraq
in a week or so we'll hear such a statement from turkey and a little while later the USA will sell them some aircraft or build a base or a power station etc there

They would ruin the good U.S. relations with another country just to make a political point. Its easy to see the underlying agenda; 70% of supplies for U.S. troops are run through Turkey, since they can't find a good reason that we should pull out before the mission in accomplished, then why not ruin relations with outlying countries to provide a less tactical advantage to that mission accomplishment.
Unfortuantly, if Turkey does occupy Iraq it is just going to stir shi* up and cause more deaths to the U.S. Military.
