It is insane some of the mix-ups that I have experienced. For instance, at a McDonald's once, I ordered my daughter the chicken nugget happy meal through a drive-thru. Guess what? When we got home, she said "Where's my nuggets?" They had put in fries, a toy, a box for the nuggets, but no nuggets. How do you do that????

I have had it happen often! Either the order is wrong, missing items, or the food is cold. I have found that they do not expect you to come back and complain.
I have actually found Arby's to be the worst. If you go through the drive through, you WILL get cold fries! I seldom go to Arby's any more, just because it is not worth it to have to go back around to get the fries replaced!
When something like that happens, do not call the store! Look for the corporate website and complain there! When the corporate office gets a complaint, they kick it to the regional office, which kicks it to the district manager, who has to investigate the issue and contact the customer! After this is done, each level has to report the results to the next, until the corporate office gets the report!
If the district manager keeps having to deal with complaints, they will make changes on the store level!

AND FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN.
I have been in fast food for 4 years mostly Arby`s but, now working for Tim Hortons.
Think about the odds fast food places serve anywhere between 200 to 1000 people a day and what are the chances of getting all the orders right!
Yes its annoying when the orders get screwed up but do u think we as fast food employees do it on purpose just because we know you will come in pissed off and start screaming at us.... uh NO!
Also think of this for 10 people that has a legitimate complaint there will be one trying to scam us for free food. When u get your burger with pickles or tomatoes and you asked for none don't come screaming at us, because you "don`t piss of the people that make your food". After just taking a level 2 food safety certificate WE can make YOU very sick.
So just to remind you WE ARE HUMAN AND WE DO MAKE MISTAKES ITS NOT PERSONNEL!

Yes, just last week at McDonald's I ordered a large Iced Tea and when I got home, I discovered I had a large Root Beer. That was quite a shock.
The most common mistake they make at my McDonald's is when I order Medium Fries and they give me Small. I now check the bag before I drive away.

Finally someone agrees with me, just a couple of hours ago, I went to McDonald's and ordered a Big Mac with large fries and a Large Drink (Coke). And I got back a salad and a kids meal! They let me keep it, and I got my original order ( for FREE)!

Yes, LOL! Actually earlier today, I went to McDonald's and ordered a Quarter Pounder meal. I got my fries, my drink and a box for the sandwich..but no sandwich! LOL And the answer about that guys kid's chicken nuggets is just like what happened to me..sounds like McDonald's is trying to rip people off. So I go in and tell them what happened, and they didn't believe me, acted like I was just trying to get an extra sandwich. Aggravating.
What is even more disappointing is that I only go to fast food places once in a blue moon. Well, there's not going to be any more blue moons for me! lol

Yes drive-through orders always get messed up. If they cannot have a speaker so that the employees can hear the orders, then they should not have a drive through.

constantly! Everywhere I go, it's always wrong!
And when you call in to complain, they just tell you that they will send you some coupons for the bad service, and then they NEVER send them to you. I had this happen with Wendy's, McDonald's and Outback Steakhouse. The food industry keeps becoming more and more disappointing.

I usually call when I get home and get the manager on the phone. I hate when my orders get messed up! They usually make some kind of an offer to make up for it. Very frustrating!
