It's not that the bulb goes dim- it's the lack of substance in the head that the bulb is over. Bright bulb, bright mind. Dim bulb, dim witted. Let me know when you need me to remind you again.

Why don't you go to the store, buy a light bulb, plug it in and wait for it to go dim and tell US what caused it????

l thought so much about the answer, that my bulb (brain) went dim from over use.

when it has been used for a long time. also it will go dim at times when there is too much electricity running on the same current

the amount of power that is coming to the filament ,,,,most likely the bulb is too old.

if there is a power shortage in your neighborhood its called brown out....Or some time you have a bad bulb
