I took two of the USPS exams and passed them......and I am listed on the register.
I took the RCA test and past it ......... I took City Carrier test and past it.
I am also listed on the register as a Casual Temp. My question is...... Who gets the call to sub for a Rural Carrier or City Carrier first....Would it be a Casual Temp Worker that has already been trained and took the Postal Exam and failed it, but is listed on the resgister at this time as a Casual Temp......... Or should I get the call to sub first?

If you passed both tests then all you have to do is wait and see who calls. Hiring is based upon the rate of attrition rather than anything else. I would personally prefer working as a City Letter Carrier who gets paid by the hour rather than a bid driven Rural Carrier. What you might want to do is submit yourself as TE and that would allow you to get trained while youre waiting to be called for a permanent position.

I used to work for the post office. There is not kit to help study for it. It is a civil service exam. You just sign up for it. And when you are ready for the final exam through the post office, they will let you know when. You have to know how to type , descramble words, make small words from longer ones. You need to know how to read different addresses. YOu need to know the zip codes. It is really easy. I scored 2nd place when I took it. And I went there not knowing a thing.Just use logic.
