My brother has bought the game, but I'm not really a game person: I'm a cutscene person.

I love Final Fantasy, even though I've never played it, I've seen the cutscenes online, along with Kingdom Hearts.

I really don't know much about Valkyrie Profile except the few battles I've seen my brother play. Can you tell me if I could just watch the cutscenes. Don't try to convince me to play it. I'm just not that type of person.

Thanks!

I don't think there are very many cutscenes in Valkyrie Profile at all, and I don't think you can go back and watch them again. If you like a game series with tons of cutscenes, check out the Xenosaga series. They are good games, but I thought they had a bit too many cutscenes for my taste (WAY more than Final Fantasy, and LONG). Here are reviews for all three games in the series from IGN.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht (8.8/10):

Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse (7.9/10):

I wouldn't think so. The only animation it really has is in the intro and the ending...if you get the good ending anyways. Most of the story is just text.

Valkyrie Profile 2 has a few cut scenes though. And technically it's a prequel to the first game so it wouldn't be confusing if you don't know the story of the first one.

(Towards the end it /might/ get a bit confusing though.)

If you're just looking for cut scenes I'd recommend the second game.
