Aaaaaabsolutely,. Our five dogs are fully paid up, contributing members of this family, and as such they share all the benefits and conveniences.. including the best seats in the house and a spot on the bed. Thankfully they seemed to have worked out their own roster system as to which two get the bed on any given night, although apparantly it's part of their agreement that if anybody leaves the bed during the night, it's OK for one of the others to take over his spot.

Do not anyone ever try to tell me that dogs can't think, evaluate situations, plan, figure, and even come to mutual agreements among themselves. And after more than thirty years sharing our lives with these wonderful creatures, it has never failed to fascinate me how, when a new one joins the family, once fully accepted the guys all join forces to help the "new kid" learn the routines of the household, and they, not we (the hairless members of the family) do the housebreaking.

I could tell a zillion stories that speak to the degree of intelligence, self-awareness, and deductive abilities that dogs are capable of when they are treated like "people", and certainly, in this family, they sure are. Oh, and while I am on the subject, NO breed of dog is potentially, or factually more "dangerous" than any other. It's people who are guilty of conditioning a particular breed to become aggressive, and the measures they often use to achieve this horrendous "brainwashing", in my opinion, deserves life inprisonment - or maybe even the death penalty because that is frequently the sad fate for the dog who was unfortunate enough to have come under the control of this kind of human.

Every one of our dogs, over the years, has been happy, healthy, full of life and fun, and has known that he or she was very much loved. They have enjoyed the best food, the best medical care and the best living conditions it was possible for us to give them. In return, there's no doubt in my mind that the health and happiness of myself and my husband, has been hugely magnified by their presence in our lives. I am sure that if either or both of us lives to be 100, it will be because of all the fun and laughter we have enjoyed through constant interraction with our beloved "hairies".

No. I don't like dogs so we don't have those. In the past we'd let the cats sleep with us, but those two little things could take up more than half the bed! The cats now have the run of the rest of the house and my bedroom door stays closed.

Our kitten "Angel" sleeps where ever she wants.Which is usually on one of our beds. She did have a lovely igloo shaped cat bed,and she loved it for a while. Now she prefers the beds. But she also will go and cuddle up with a teddy bear somewhere,or on the toilet floor. Depends where she feels like sleeping.

Yes I let my cat sleep in the bed, even though my boyfriend doesn't like it. I sneak him in after the old man goes to sleep!

Yes, my cat sleeps on my face or she curls around my head like a brown furry hat. Or sometimes, she'll sleep in the very middle of my bed and take up all the room.
I love my cat. :3

I do not even OWN any pets and that is a part of the reasons WHY I do not want any pets. If it was THEIR house too then I would expect some type of monetary contribution from them to be applied to the HOUSE PAYMENTS on THEIR house.
