Often when asking folk how well they sleep many have said "I could sleep on a clothes line" Are they winding me up or can you do this odd thing? how do you sleep?

In times gone by cheap boarding houses put a rope accross the room at shoulder height and people would pay to lean against the rope and sleep

I can only sleep tucked up in bed. You wouldn't want to sleep on my clothes line it is full of spiders.

Only if someone used clothes pegs on my hands and legs and attached it to the clothes line.
