I HATE THEM! who is with me on this?
and why do the companys that make them make them!
what good are they, they suck!
(when I was little my father bought one to replace our old freezer on top model and when he couldnt fit all his frozen food in it, IT WAS BANISHED from the house.)
I loved my daddy!
anyway, the bst are the freezer on bottom, am I right?

I agree girl!! They do suck!! I have one of those really cool LG french door fridges with the frezzer on the bottom, I love, love, love it!! I also have a Samsung in the garage that is the fridge on top & freezer on the bottom, but it doesn't have the french doors. I love the cause you can fit a huge pizza in them. You can't fit one in a side by side. There isn't enough room for you meats, & veggies, if you put them in the door slot, they get stuck in there after they have frozen!! Yeah, I would have to say that the side by side is the most worthless peice of junk the MAN has ever made!!! I think that since the women are getting into the designing of vehicles, they should give designing appliances a try, huh. Anyway, my fridge rocks!! I am so glad that I am not the only one that hates those things. Have a good one!

I like two separate appliances. That way I can have better control of the temperature for both the fridge and the freezer. I know a chest freezer is more energy efficient but I prefer an upright. When I open the door I can see everything on the shelves. No digging to the bottom of a chest freezer.

My husband loves the side by side. He can't reach stuff on the bottom. I myself don't care which one I have as long as it works! I got used to the freezers on top but they dont come with Ice and Water dispensers and My husband had to have one of those:(. Well, he has yet to connect the that part up and I am still making the old fashioned way!

It goes back to personal preference.
Freezer on bottom makes sense since you use the refrigerated stuff much more frequent than the freezer.
Side by side is so everything is more visible.
I prefer basic fridge and a chest freezer.

I've had just about all the kinds of frudges imaginable..I like the side by side. The ones with the freezer on the bottom seem kind of annoying because I have to stoop down to get my freezer stuffs.

well the most effeciante are the ones on top the cold drops and the rest of the ref. stays cold , but the side by side give more space to store your food. i like the side by side

I haven't looked into the matter, but I would have thought of a side by side would be the better.

It is like opening your shirt, my gorgeous goddess, you see it all at a once.
It may be gift wrapped, or in plain white bags, or unwrapped.
