SOiL.
I loved them the first time I heard "Unreal" on the radio 6 years ago. Ryan McCombs voice was off the chain and SOiL's sound is kick ***, still even though they no longer have Ryan. AJ Chavalier sounds pretty good to.

I think I'm always gonna be a SOiL fan. I have 3 of their albums, I downloaded one of their songs (legally) and I'm ready for their next release.

As an aside, i do have many favorites, but when someone asks what's your favorite *band* they are asking who you'd listen to consistently that doesn't suck so much, so bad even to the fan.

(want to add, my favorite rappers are PE, KRS One and Ice T)

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Nick is a amazing lyricist and has a such a presence. And the the Bad Seeds are truly the worlds most talented backing band. The rhythm section is flawless and Warren Ellis on violin, man I've never heard anyone make feedback on a violin sound so beautiful!

My favorite bands are My Chemical Romance and Choking Victim.

BEFORE you give this a thumbs down, think. How many songs by My Chemical Romance have you heard? Did you really despise every single one of them?
I find this band to be incredibly inspiring, they've helped me through a lot of crap. (Not saved my life, don't confuse the two.) They're not emo. If they're emo, well god, so is Christina Aguilera!
And their style changed so drastically because Gerard got OFF drugs, and because the guy who helped Gerard write the songs left. So think before you bash, guys.

I love Choking Victim just because...well, because they're choking victim. They're so awesome. They're not afraid to sing about what they please, and I like that about them. Well...liked. They're not a band anymore. ;_;
So I guess I should say Leftover Crack, because it's essentially the same band with a drummer change.

Guns N' Roses. Why? They weren't pretty boys like most of the '80s rock scene was, not that the otehr bands are bad, just a little to cliche, GN'R just came out dressed how they wanted and rocked it.

Green Day- There very honest about what they need to say and don't hold back, yet always know how to make a person laugh. They never wrote a bad song and just dont give a care.

a static lullaby has been really, really good for me right now. they got me more into the 'punk' music scene. before, when i first heard of them, i really loved their lyrics, but not so much their sound. now, im in love with the 'sreaming' and guitars. the bass is pretty good, and the drums arnt bad. the lyrics mean a lot to me right now in my life, or i can relate to them more than any other bands.

also, nirvana is one of my favs. i love how their lyrics are random, but also have meaning. i think that kurt cobain was an incredibly smart individual, but had really bad problems.

I'd have to say Kozmic Blues band. Janis Joplin was the lead singer. She was beautiful, talanted, unique, tough, sweet, and just undiscribably amazing. I also enjoy all the horns in the band.

I like yellowcard a lot because they are diffrent than most bands. They include a violin but it's still rock!
I also really like Chevelle, because they're similar to Yellowcard but it's always pretty spooky. Perfect for october.
