why would you hate the best team in the nhl? because in 2002 they could kick every single team in the nhl right in the pills without looking back, why not ask why people dont hate the avalanche, they were exactly like the wings but instead of skill they bought bruisers, either way Steve Yzerman is the the 3rd best player in NHl history, no argument. Lidstrom is Bobby Orr reincarnated, Pavel and Henrick are like a Lemieux and Gretzky tandem to watch and nobody is better than Holmstrom at what he does. No reason to hate the wings...expecially in the new peice of **** capped league, just because there were 4 teams making profits you ***** until theres a cap.

Why is it that people hate something that has proven to very successful. Do you hate them because they have proven to be perennial winners while you are a loser.
When they could afford to buy teams they were successful and since the salary cap they are still successful.
That only proves they have a management and scouting group that is unparalled.
Stop your whining and admit that they are a very successful franchise and probably will continue to be so.

Well I'll say that I didn't hate the Red Wings very much, becuase I'm not the one that had to earn them. My boyfriend was. haha
