Now in my state if I am the victim of DV I cannot get services but my dog can. You can't tell me that DV against men does not exist and not one single man could benefit from public DV services, yet if any man was in need of this type of service he would be refused.
You all can try and justify it by saying that it is not a substancial problem enough to receive state funds but then again you would be saying that the men who are victim of DV don't matter enough and should not matter enough to receive any type of help.
How is that an inaccurate accessment? If poverty was a very small problem affecting a very few number of people would you advocate disallowing those affected by it any type of service?

Professor: I am wondering where you got your degree? From the college of lies and propaganda? You obviously have not back up any of your statements with any sort of proof so I can only assume you know nothing of what you are talking about and only trying to confuse the issue and avoid my valid argument. I am trying to point out that there are a percentage of men who are victims of DV although I don't have ready that exact number, and if you refuse to acknowledge that fact there is little hope you will acknowledge anything other than what the feminist propaganda has spoon fed you your whole life.

Shouldn't the hamster come after the cat? Just kidding. Men are able to press charges and get a divorce. I've seen it happen.

It is a very good question that is complex to answer . I think as women are justly and rightly being led into physical culture of sports and competition they are not given the training do not start fights .
Men from an early age are told do not hit a lady . The average untrained male is going to hurt the average untrained female .
Not all people are average though .
Some lift and run . Some do martial arts . Some are just mean and nasty .I think the incidents of domestic violence might be more even than we thought becuase of the untrained female hitting a male will likly hurt a man emotionaly but not physicaly .
If a man hits a woman more than likley it will do physical damage .
I think women need to start modulating there personal power to get things they want and to express themselves but they need to stop doing it at someone elses expence .
Thats where the problem lies basicly . It is a world of you go girl without looking at the repercussions .
Until women start self policing there gender the way men have self policed there gender these problems will happen and continue to grow .New problems will be brought in that go beyond domestic violence .This is the tip of the iceberg .
I think we should all gather around a bonfire of DEA captured bales of mary jane and chill out .

Not in my house.
In my house my husband always comes first. Yet, at the same time we make allowances for the kids, so that we are able to guide them better. I'm not living in the states now and that is how it would be there too and when we lived in the states that's how it was.
Now about that DV thingy it should be dispersed properly not only to one sect group and it should be dispersed wisely, as I myself know of a few girls who go round beating their husbands. They just as well must face the music.
More to say: Here's the rub it all has to do with that feministic propaganda of having been oppressed; if they can use anything to keep that on the front burner they are going to use it; even if, they have to twist and turn things in order to do so.
The major word in feminism is oppression.

I agree that men need more resources available to them to help them with domestic violence...I'll go further to say that men often lack equity in family court issues. And, I also believe that men get the shaft when it comes to state financial, and medical assistance programs. There is also seems to be a trend going on that is phasing out all adults (men AND women) from state assistance programs, UNLESS the person is pregnant or has children. This leaves a big chunk of population who need services and resources out in the cold. I think the majority of those left behind are men, and it's extremely unjust.

If you feel this is such a bad issue, you should start attempting advocate that funds spent towards domestic violence should include both sexes. Just like schools must support sports programs for both sexes. I think you would be better able to have men included in funding already allocated then making an entire seperate section.
And yes men who suffer from domestic violence should have resources available to them, but simultaniously it appears that women are abused much more than men are.

Since most of the shelters were originally set up by women for women, I think you men should get busy and set some up for your own victims and apply for state funding...instead of insisting that we women do it for you.

The main reason there isn't more awareness of domestic violence against men is because it is underreported. Many men who are abused are ashamed of it and won't report it. Think about it. A man who takes abuse from a woman must do so because he's less of a man than everyone else. That attitude is still quite prevalent in our society.

Professor: Although your first statement pushes me to believe in your twisted facts, months of dealing with your people here tells me to no, so i will ask you:
1)to stop hypocrisy and post your sources, like you ask anyone else
2) Realize a note in internet is more convincing than a single person´s opinion
3) explain me why, according to your facts the alledged minority of men who are victims, but not victimizers do not deserve the same as women who are victims, but not victimizers.
Sorry to steal a trademarked quote, but you´ve been checkmated.

To be very brief, in most culture around the globe, father is dominating or powerful or maybe you can say advantageous in the family...so, in a civilized society he`s always entitled to get least or almost no benefit...we can`t help but simply overlook the matter atleast for the sake of unity and love.

The fact that feminists willingly overlook men's rights, and pursue the interests of women with the overt disregard of men, is yet another reason as to why feminism does not equal equality.
