It's ok for Republicans to be commander in chief without having a military record but Democrats insist that anybody who wants to have an opinion about the military must have a military record, otherwise, their opinions and thoughts on the matter are not considered valid. That's my point.

What's your point?

Hillary Clinton has no military experience but it can be compensated by her stint in the Senate and as a former First Lady. Likewise, the constitution provides that civilian authority is supreme over the military which makes the President as Commander-in-Chief even when there is no military career to talk about.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Hillary will likely win.

I think you have it backwards. It's the democrats that doesn't mind if the commander has no military experience. Remember, Clinton ran out of the country to avoid the draft. Refer to his letter:

CLINTON’S DEC. 3, 1969 LETTER TO COL. HOLMES

"First, I want to thank you, not just for saving me from the draft, but for being so kind and decent to me last summer, when I was as low as I have ever been. One thing which made the bond we struck in good faith somewhat palatable to me was my high regard for you personally." - Bill Clinton

So she has just as much military experience as he does which is none at all.

She didn't serve, but then again neither did George W. Bush, who was often AWOL during his brief stint in the National Guard.
