Dogs as you can teach them things & tricks. I like taking them for walks.
Cats will go on the streets and you will never no where it is and someone could take your kitty.

I love both, but I'd have to go with dogs.
Dogs will love you and cuddle with you anytime..cats take a message and get back to you when they wish. =]
