Probably not. Don't China, North Korea, Cuba and a few other countries have flag lapel pins. If so, they'll be in their glory.
Oh, did you mean the American flag? Out of luck there.

Why is it so bloody important to wear a lapel pin, or to have a flag in your yard, or to have a "support the troops" yellow ribbon affixed to your car, in order to be seen as patriotic?
I think it's a hell of a lot more patriotic to not tell people they're being unpatriotic if they don't follow your personal rules.

Understand this - wearing a flag pin on your lapel makes you appear to be patriotic; it says nothing about whether you really are a patriot.

Ahh...another conservative who hides behind a pin! Ha! You, my friend, bashing your fellow Americans, are no patriot. Did you forget this country was founded by radicals? People who would probably overthrow this government right now as it stands.
Would it be a fitting punishment? Nope. I wouldn't feel punished, I'd simply wear it upside down to demonstrate my opposition to what this country currently stands for. What, exactly, do you have to be so proud of? The picking and choosing of UN Amendments to follow? (I know..those pesky amendments against Israel...we just ignore those, eh?). The detaining of people without trial or attorneys? (pesky constitution...kind of reminds me of Japanese interment camps which every history book says is a sad point in American history). The erosion of civil liberties under the current administration? What exactly are you so proud of? The slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians? The handouts to corporate America? Allowing the energy companies to determine our energy policies? What?

how does wearing a flag pin made in china make you more patriotic. Also why do you have to prove yourself? I know I love America and don't need a $1 piece of plastic to prove it.

What? The Scarlet Letter of Politics?
What you fail to understand, is not that we have any objection to the symbol of the flag itself. My boyfriend and I constantly see and get upset at people and businesses who violate flag protocol.
What we object to and are suspicious of, is the blatant use of such symbols to insist that everyone agree with a certain position, to substitute flag waving and parade watching with any real patriotic work (like seeing when your country is doing something bad and working to try and correct the situation, for example).
It almost seems to me like the neocons have co-opted the flag as a symbol that only belongs to them, that only they are worthy to wear or fly, and that anybody who waves it or wears it signifies that they agree fully with neocon policies.
Now THAT is Unamerican.

Actually I have a patch on my uniform that has an American flag on it. But wearing the pin would make me out of uniform.
PS your the worst type of American, you believe that others should be punished because they do not believe what you do, even if you may or may not be wrong.

Republicans and democrates created this country, moron, and make up the white house. Maybe you swing so far to the right you forgot this, that's why I stay in the middle to have open eyes. Maybe you secretly have a swatzica tatooed somewhere.

The point is that wearing a flag pin makes you "appear patriotic." I don't need a pin to be patiotic.
