It was dropping off so the drivers went to the city with hat in hand. A steering committee was formed. Ultimately, with no time to spare, the steering committee drove the city fathers to pass a measure that led to a pick up in demand. It was a two-way street as the drivers had to make concessions to the city. But, all in all, it was a fare deal for the city and gave some brakes to the chauffers. There is almost no limo seen in how successful they can be in the future.

You can still make money at it but you must be driven and go cap in hand to your clients. Your destiny will always be in someone else's hands which might stretch a point but we all get chauffeur driven in the end!
