Depends on what you want to see. If you are thinking of the Giant Sequoias, try Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Park or Yosemite National Park. Most people who say redwoods really mean these trees.

For the coastal redwoods (a different kind of tree - taller but not as massive and much more common), try Redwoods National Park in northern California or Muir Woods near San Fransisco. These trees are much easier to find - I have two young ones growing in my backyard.
