I think that it is because I always like having something in my mouth. Please help me lose some!!! Oh yeah, I also run cross country and am pretty fast.

You are perfect!

It is normal for a girl your age to eat a lot. You are growing and will develop curves which are normal and good for you. Do not compare yourself with girls on TV or on Magazines.

You are just perfect the way you are!

You sound to me like you are very healthy and in good shape and condition and you do not need to diet.
You get a good amount of exercise and you eat well. Are you getting enough protein? That may be leading you to over-eat if you feel you are over-eating. You are trying to get your body those things that are lacking in a vegetarian diet. Especially at your age, while you are still growing.

Also with the amount of exercise you get, you need to fuel your body well. Eating less food is not a good idea. You may still have some "baby fat" which means you will shed it in the next few years as your shape develops. By starving yourself now, you are risking achieving a normal height and shapely figure by the time you're grown. Young women do not grow well without the right nutrients.

I would suggest you continue as you are doing now, make sure you're getting adequate protein, calcium, etc., and continue to exercise as you are doing. That in combination will help you grow into a beautiful teenager and a healthy one.
You are living very intelligently right now. Don't mess that up by buying into all this nonsense about having to be bone-thin.
Real women have nice curves and they are still quite healthy.
And boys like them too! The boy I've been married to for 23 years has liked them just fine. :)

So don't change your habits for boys or for anyone else. Stay on your healthy track just for you!

Well since you run cross country and you say you are good it really does not matter if you are over weight. I think for a 12 year old 90 pounds is in the average percent tile.So no you are not, just keep running.

Two out of three kids in this country are overweight, mostly because they eat the wrong things. If you are barely 4 feet tall, 90 pounds is a bit much young lady. I would cut down on the eating and I would suggest doing more cross country running.

You are ok, I mean you´re not even 5 ft tall so 90 lbs for u is good, besides, you´re only 11 yrs old so u havent finished growing, ur body is changing but in the meantime u are ok.

You are a good weight for your height. Once you go through puberty, that's as tall as you will ever get.
This is my opinion, but anyone who has not gone through puberty, should not be vegetarian, because it stunts your growth.
At least drink milk so your bones can grow. You need calcium. Protein is actually not as important as most people think. A tablespoon of peanut butter a day is plenty of protein.

You have NO REASON to be thinking you're overweight. You've very active and it will help you maintain the healthy weight you are.
