Do you like the name Susan or Susanna?

I know these are old-fashioned, I want an old-fashioned, classy name. I don't buy all the hipster name trends.

Someone said it was too common, but I fail to see how. Ashley/Jennifer/Megan are waaaay too common nowadays.

I like these because they are not so common, but they are not weird or crazy in any way, they are still plain classic names.

I was thinking of Avery for the middle name.

I think it goes better with Susan, but if anyone has more suggestions for the middle name, they are welcome. No trendy, misspelled, hipster names, though. :)

I like Susanna better, but with the middle name Avery I would have to say Susan. Kudos for not changing the spelling to something completely off the wall. :-)

I like both, but Susanna more because it's a little more updated than Susan, I think.

I like the name Susan. It's trustworthy and smart -- Susans are doctors, tax preparers, and teachers. You can "cute" it up when she's a little girl ("Susie") or high school cheerleader, and she can have a punchy, professional sounding nickname ("Sue") when she heads off to Harvard.

Susan is a very beautiful and strong name. If I ever have another daughter I am going to name her Susan Elizabeth!

I love the name Susannah. Suzanne is cute, too, and she could be called Suzy, but I'm not as fond of plain old Susan, I don't know why.

sounds a little old fashioned to me, but maybe thats because its my moms name. If i had to pick, Susanna would be the better one.

My mother-in-laws name is Susannah and I love it. Everyone calls her Susie and it is such a cute name. I would have used it for one of my kids names but I didn't want to come across like a kiss - @## - ya know?
