You shouldn't.One oscar needs at least 55 gallons by its self.Demseys, for a pair, would also need at least 55 gallons .I don't know about the bala or leporinus. So for the oscar and Dempseys you would need 120 gallons to be safe.Aren't bala sharks small? If they are the oscar or dempseys will eat them.
Do what you want, but they will live alot longer in a bigger tank.

Guess i was wrong, bala sharks do get big.So add at least another 50 gallons. So to be safe you'd need a 200 gallon tank to keep them healthy and happy......but again do what you want!

NO. Every fish you mentioned gets at least 14 inches long. A lot of people will stick an oscar and a jack dempsey together in a 55 gallon tank, but would really do better in a 75 gallon for the width (more comfortable to turn around in). Also, jack dempseys are incredibly aggressive, I work at a pet store and we take in many dempseys every year that people no longer want because they beat up/killed their oscars.
