Have you considered how many Jackson Hewitt operators have been charged with fraud this year.

Bostonianinmo is correct that HSBC will not be doing the holiday loans this year.The problem was the number of defaults on the loans that they experienced. However, I understand that although both JH and H&R used HSBC as their source last year there will be some version of that program available at H&R. I'm not sure about JH.

Probably not. The bank that was making those loans (HSBC) has announced that they will not be doing them any more. Most likely they lost their shirts on them despite the outrageous interest rates that they charged.
