That has actually been suggested by some pretty well known scientists, most notably by an astronomer named Carl Sagan. He had a lot of ideas about extraterrestrial life. Some people thought he was crazy, but I think it's exciting. Of course, the only problem is wondering why they are hiding among us instead of revealing themselves. Are they preparing for attack? Who knows? Personally I don't think there are aliens among use on Earth, but it seems very probable that there is life elsewhere in the universe. If you like this kind of stuff, there are some really cool articles on wikipedia about it. You should check it out.

Okay, we have discovered nearly 250 planets around other stars, okay none of these are anything like Earth.
The reality will probably be that there are millions, if not billions of planets like Earth throughout the Galaxy, so if that is the case it is very unlikely there is not a races of creatures that could contact us, or we could contact them.
We are not going to be paying them a visit any time soon, the technology does not exist to get a human being as far as Pluto and back, a journey that would take around twenty five years travelling at the fastest possible speeds available, a journey outside of our solar system is simply not possible until we can find a way to travel very fast.
Should we manage to match the speed of light it would take a round trip of approximately 8 years to get to Alpha Centuri, the next nearest star after the Sun.
Anywhere else is obviously further than that, Relativity dictates that speeds faster than light are impossible, so Star Trek type ships in theory could never exist.
If that theory is correct we would never be able to meet anyone from another world, and they could not come to us.
So moving on to the idea of a superior, or super, race:
A race of beings somewhere in this galaxy has developed technology that will take them across vast distances between stars with minimal fuel in days, or even hours.
If they were to come here, would they need to hide, live with us in some adaptive form, why? What would they gain?
No such people would only come here if they had purpose or deliberate intent, their technology would be so advanced that we could not pose any type of threat, I really think such creatures would simply just land, they would have no reason not to, the tech they would have could wipe us out in a blink of an eye.
Alternatively, and this is the only Star Trek reference that makes sense, they could simply observe us from great distance, way beyond the Solar System waiting for us to develope the tech that could take us to the stars, when we do that, we will create a signature that could be detected, much like the final scenes of Star Trek first contact.
That signature could be the key to the arrival of any 'superior' race, landing just like the Vulcans at the end of the film.
As for UFOs, not a chance, they will turn out to be either hoaxes, unknown millitary craft, or atmospheric effects, you would be amazed at the pictures taken from space of the Earth, particularly at night, other planets in our solar system also show strange lights and patterns in their upper atmospheres.

Anything is possible, but there is no evidence either way, no way to prove or disprove the idea.
But it has been the storyline for numerous books and films, and it is an interesting concept (with lots of room for literary interpretation).
As for other life forms on other worlds, that is scientifically and statistically very likely.
Those life forms could be relatively primitive (such as bacteria or molds) or more advanced. They could even be of a form that we wouldn't even recognize as life as we know it.

sorta like believing in leprechauns. heck, my mom used to leave milk outside for the leprechauns. it might have been a cat that drank it, but that's not the point.
we don't have any (that's ZERO) evidence that aliens have ever contacted anyone on the earth, and also nothing to support the delusion that they are living here.
anecdotal evidence, like 'two guys went hunting in the mountains...' doesn't really prove anything except an active imagination.
personally, I blame "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" for telling us over and over that 'someone is out there'. i guess the 'big lie' actually works.
maybe i oughta try that with money... rent a few billboards... in a few years everyone will send me a check just cause i told them to enough times?
heck, it works for the gov't

Not in our solar system. But the odds are overwhelming that there is life beyond that.
The sun is but one of billions of stars. To think that it's the only one with planets and the potential for civilizations totally defies logic. Our sun to the entire universe is like one grain of sand is to a beach.

I think there must be life some where in the cosmos. There are so many galaxies that there has to be another word with the air and water etc are right for life.they are to far for travel so we may find out by radio or some other method of communication.I`d like to be around if it does happen.

No, I do have the opinion that there are likely to be intelligent civilisations in other solar systems, I would say that it is highly unlikely that they would be here looking exactly like us living amongst us. Why do you ask? you don't suspect someone do you?

ofcourse. I believe were have brothern that have been to earth, and others that are in another solar system, for we can not be the only ones. We can't just live a lonely life with no others. There must be more! Life can't just stop at us can it? There must be others with the gift of life that have not been found.

There is,no doubt, many other societies like ours in all parts of the universe.
It is likely that they would parallel us closely in intelligence and technology.
They could have a couple of hundred years on us technologically but they would not likely be super intelligent, they would be more like us.
